Job Description
As a Personal Care Worker in the community, your core responsibilities are focused on promoting, monitoring, and maintaining the independence of our clients. Our care and support is tailored to enhance their quality of life, to enable them to remain living in their own home and active in their community. You will be focused on showing kindness to our clients while providing a high standard of service, engaging with clients to participate in activities, whilst supporting clients to maintain the quality of life they choose.
ABOUT YOU
As a care worker, you will be able to demonstrate:
– Kindness, reliability and compassion
– An ability to understand and follow procedures
– Strong organisational and time management skills
– Good communication and listening skills.
To be considered for this important and rewarding work, you will also have:
– Cert III/IV in Personal Care/Aged Care/Community/Individual Support or Disability Services
– Min 600 hours in recent paid PCW community position
– Senior First Aid Certificate
– Current Police Clearance (if you don’t have we will provide at no cost)
– NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
– Victorian Working With Children’s Check
– Unrestricted Victorian Driver’s Licence
ABOUT THE WORK
In the community team, you will enable our clients to live their best possible life by helping with everyday activities and assisting them to do the things they love.
Every client is different, and tasks may include:
– Assistance with personal care (showering and dressing)
– Household cleaning and laundry
– Meal preparation
– Transport to and from appointments / shops
– Social support
– Medication prompts
– Providing respite for family
– Assisting with complex care needs.
