Job Description
Care workers, or support workers support our clients with social and physical activities. Every client is different and could include those with physical disabilities, dementia and other mental health conditions. Undergoing basic medical checks / Medication management
ABOUT YOU
As a care worker, what’s most important is:
– Kindness, passion and compassion
– Good English, numeracy and writing skills
– An ability to understand and follow procedures
– Strong organisational and time management skills
– Good communication and listening skills.
To be considered for this important and rewarding work, you will also have:
– Cert III in Personal Care/Aged Care/Community/Individual Support or Disability Services
– Senior First Aid Certificate & Unrestricted Drivers Licence
– Current Police Clearance (if you don’t have we will provide at no cost)
– NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
– Unrestricted Driver’s Licence.
ABOUT THE WORK
In the community team, you will enable our clients to live their best possible life by helping with everyday activities and assisting them to do the things they love. Every client is different, and tasks may include:
– Assistance with personal care (showering and dressing)
– Household cleaning and laundry
– Meal preparation
– Transport to and from appointments / shops
– Social support
– Medication prompts
– Providing respite for family
– Assisting with complex care needs.
